Manila Bulletin, New York Times Launch International Weekly Supplement on Saturday, Dec. 3

NEW YORK a" The New York Times announced yesterday that it has launched a weekly Times supplement with the Manila Bulletin of the Philippines.

The 8-page New York Times International Weekly will be published every Saturday starting Dec. 3, 2005 in Manila. With this launch, the Manila Bulletin joins a list of 21 other leading newspapers around the world that offer their readers The Times supplement.

The New York Times International Weekly supplement retains the layout and typography of The New York Times. It includes news coverage, opinion, color photos, and graphics about the United States, world affairs, business, science, technology, and culture.

The supplement is prepared in New York by a team of editors and designers from The New York Times News Service in consultation with editors from the other newspapers.
