Royal Cargo, ECCP Member Firms Donate Houses to Typhoon Victims

Royal Cargo, together with member companies of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), led the turnover ceremony of the six houses and a retaining wall the group donated to the Gawad Kalinga (GK) Village in Los Baños, Laguna.Other ECCP member companies that contributed funds to help typhoon victims include BNP Paribas, Dataone Asia, Interadent Zahnfabrik Phils., Pamatec, PPI Pazifik Power, Puratos Philippines, and the Together Ensemble Foundation.Royal Cargo’s President and Chief Executive Officer Michael K. Raeuber said “We are excited to have this opportunity to help the Filipino community and see the impact that it makes on the lives of those hit by the recent typhoons.ECCP President Hubert d’Aboville said they see the housing donation as the most feasible project the chamber can do for the typhoon victims.“We looked at options at how to help the typhoon victims and this has the most impact as you can see and touch what you have given,” d’Aboville said.During the turnover of the houses, Royal Cargo and ECCP officials and staff personally painted the houses while also doing landscaping, and also laid down foundations for new houses that will be built in the community. …
