Cadet Classic: The Marmion Alumni Association will hold its 27th annual Cadet Classic Golf Outing Friday, July 23, at Bliss Creek Golf Club in Sugar Grove.

It is a scramble format with shotgun start at 1 p.m. The field is limited to the first 144 paid players at a cost of $125 per player/$500 per foursome. The fee includes a round of golf, cart, prizes, lunch and dinner.

This year's outing features three hole-in-ones and a $500 putting contest. Hole sponsorship opportunities, which help to underwrite the cost of the outing, are still available.

The outing starts with registration and lunch at 11:30 a.m. Dinner and awards will follow the round of golf. There will be raffles and a chance to win a full set of PINGS with bag and putter.

Friends Foundation golf outing: The Friends Foundation at the Huntley Area Public Library will host its fourth annual golf outing fundraiser Tuesday, July 13.

The 18-hole scramble style event will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Whisper Creek Golf Club in Sun City Huntley.

A foursome is only $375, and tee and green sponsorships are $125.

For people who don't golf but want to support the library, an option is available to join the lunch for $20. Tom Peck Ford is offering a car to anyone who can get a hole-in-one from the third tee.

Money raised at the annual fundraiser is used to support the Huntley Area Public Library. In the past, the Friends have paid for programs and events, library shelving, library cards, a defibrillator and more. Cary-Grove Chamber golf outing: Local golfers who register by July 22 for the Cary Grove Chamber Golf Outing could win a free foursome to Chalet Hills Golf Club. The chamber golf outing is Friday, Aug. 27, at Chalet Hills, 943 Rawson Bridge Road. Golfers who register by July 22 could win a free future foursome. The drawing will be held the day of the outing. The golf outing will begin at 8 a.m. with registration and breakfast, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., followed by lunch and awards.

The cost is $125 and includes breakfast, golf, carts, lunch and a number of contests and prizes. Shoot a hole-in-one and you could win a car or $10,000 cash. Sign up to golf or sponsor a hole.

Golf outing and dinner auction: The Adult & Child Rehab Center will host its annual golf outing and dinner auction Monday, July 26, at the Bull Valley Golf Club in Woodstock.

After kicking off the event with a chip-out contest, golfers will be treated to 18 holes of golf, a box lunch, games on the course, a top sirloin dinner and silent and live auctions hosted by Woodstock Mayor Brian Sager. A reverse raffle will also be a part of the festivities, with a $4,000 grand prize.

The Adult & Child Rehab Center is a nonprofit, providing physical, occupational and speech therapies, as well as home health care.
