Pasig Government Workers Train on Urban Planning

Manila, Philippines - Key officials and personnel of the Pasig City government are undergoing a 10-day Short Training Course on Transportation Engineering, Planning and Management (STEP) at the Tanghalang Pasigueno in Pasig City.

The training course, which is being conducted by the University of the Philippines Planning and Development Research Foundation Inc. (UP Planades) and by the Transport and Traffic Planners Inc. (TTPI), started last Monday and is in line with Pasig City Mayor Bobby Eusebio's vision of reconfiguring Ortigas Center as Pasig City's Central Business District, a prime commercial area with top-notch infrastructure network and services.

In a statement, Eusebio said the training course aims to provide the participants from the city government's officials and personnel from the Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO), Tricycle Operation and Regulatory Office (TORO), Batas Ciudad Enforcement Office (BCEO), Pasig City Police, Engineering and Building Departments, City Planning and Development Office, City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), Barangay Affairs Office (BAO) and Public Information Office (PIO), an overview of how to develop suitable transportation improvement projects and measures as well as enhancing their capability to prioritize and implement projects. …
