MANILA, Philippines - A concelebrated high mass will be held at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the San Bartolome Parish on Rizal Avenue, Malabon City in solemn observance of the feast day of Saint Bartholomew (San Bartolome), one of the 12 apostles of Christ, and a martyr of the Christian faith. A binyagang bayan (mass baptism) follows the Eucharistic celebration at 11a.m. A solemn procession will be held at 6 p.m. Festivities in honor of their patron will also be held in Catbalogan, Samar; Magalang, Pampanga; and Nagcarlan, Laguna. Hermoso)RemandedThe Supreme Court (SC) decided Tuesday to remand to the Quezon City trial court for further proceedings the petition of Stradcom Corp., the information technology (IT) contractor of the Land Transportation Office (LTO), seeking to compel the government to pay its P1.2 billion uncollected fees.In a resolution issued during Tuesday's full court session, the SC ordered the re-raffle of the Stradcom case to any of Quezon City's regional trial courts (RTCs) that had been designated as commercial courts. In the meantime, the SC held in abeyance the order of RTC Judge Edgar Dalmacio Santos directing the deposit with the trial court the P1.2 uncollected fees pending resolution of Stradcom's intra-corporate dispute.
