Public Relations Month and the 18th National Public Relations Congress

MANILA, Philippines - September is celebrated in the Philippines as Public Relations (PR) Month, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1357 issued in 2007 that recognizes the PR profession and industry as a propelling force in national development.

The National Public Relations Congress will gather today members of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), and other notable figures and icons in the field to discuss themes and topics relevant to PR practice in the country.

Now on its 18th year, the Congress is being held in Makati City with the theme "PR in a Transparent World: The Role of Trust and Integrity in Public Relations." PR icons in business, government, and media will tackle issues and themes confronting PR practice today, including: Trust and the Global PR Industry in the Last Decade, Assessing the Credibility of Information Sources, The Role of Trust in Brand Building, Creating Brand Champions among Employees through Trust, Trust and Loyalty through Customer Relations Management, Trust and Integrity in Entertainment, and Creating a Digital Culture of Integrity.
