Team Pena Planning a Mass Exodus for London

ENTOURAGE -- returning to your television screens this summer, courtesy of Tori Pena. The Hollywood-based HBO series may have ended last year but Ireland's first Olympic pole vaulter is mobilising a small army of devotees to come over from California in August and watch her perform in London. 'We will have tons of support, and I feel so lucky: my grandmother, of course, is coming, as well as my parents, my boyfriend, both my brothers and their wives -- in fact one of my sisters-in-law is having a baby two weeks before the Olympics, so I'm not sure if she will make it, but she is planning to,' Pena tells us breathlessly. 'Oh, and my best friend from college is coming with her dad, and a couple of my aunts and uncles.' It's a remarkable exodus from any distance, but we are talking 5,500 miles here, so the 24-year-old clearly has a powerful magnetism. As well as being among the best-supported Irish athletes on show in London, Pena (right) will be surely the most exotic. She is as much Mexican as she is Irish, but Derry native Angela McCoy (nee Coyle) is the lady responsible for Pena flying the Tricolour at the greatest sporting event on earth, and she will be in London's Olympic Stadium to confirm her granddaughter's heritage in person. …
