St. John's Lutheran Hosts Arts, Crafts Fair

Arts and craft fair: St. John's Lutheran Church School, 300 Jefferson St., Algonquin will hold an arts and craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1. Admission is free. There will be more than 40 crafters and vendors, door prizes and home-baked cinnamon rolls. Cookie Walk: First Congregational Church of Dundee, 900 S. Eighth St., West Dundee, will host its 12th annual Cookie Walk from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, held with 25th annual Dickens in Dundee. Admission is free. Homemade holiday cookies and candies will be available in many varieties and will be sold by weight. Pick your own specialty holiday cookies from the selection. A boutique of handmade holiday items -- gifts and home decor -- will also be on sale. Nativity sets, borrowed from congregation members, will be on display along with a bit of their history. Christmas Sweets and Crafts Shop: In conjunction with the annual Dickens in Dundee, the First United Methodist Church of West Dundee is welcoming holiday shoppers at their fifth annual Christmas Treats and Crafts Shop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. As you shop chili, hot chocolate and grilled cheese sandwiches will be served to warm up or for lunch. The church is located on Fourth Street across from Grafelman Park in West Dundee.

Cookies with Santa: Festive event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 8, at Faith Community Church, 10547 Faiths Way, Huntley, (224) 569-6501. Join us for cookies, juice, games, crafts and a visit with Santa. Bring your camera and take your yearly Christmas photo or just come for the fun and get the holidays started. Suggested donation is $5 per family; proceeds benefit the Faith Community Children's Ministry and Preschool.
