Celts ................................... 40 Jaguars .............................. 52 THE Celts Wheelchair Basketball Club's first team lost their first home game of 2013 despite making a huge comeback against the Jaguars.

The Celts' Tom Seabourne won the tip but the home team were unable to take advantage of the first possession and it was the Jaguars who put the first points on the board, with a quick lay-up from the Jaguars' Richard Sargent.

The Jaguars came out very aggressively and the Celts faced an intense pressing defence every time they got the ball. This was having the desired effect and under the pressure the Celts were making poor passes which the Jaguars were able to intercept.

The Celts' Liam Holt and Seabourne managed to score before the whistle brought the first 10-minute period to an end and the dejected Celts went into the first break trailing 6-20.

The pain continued for the home team as the Jaguars persisted with the press throughout the second quarter despite opening up a significant lead over the Celts.

The Celts' turnovers continued to plague their progress and their ability to score was almost brought to a halt by the tenacious Jaguars defence.

The Celts' Caroline Matthews scored a basket and Seabourne hit a free throw to see the home team take a beating in the second quarter, losing 3-17. …
