SCOTLAND are the 85th country to be eliminated from the World Cup in 2014.

Gordon Strachan's side are the only European nation to be knocked out and there are still 118 teams across the world who can still qualify.

Here's the full list and a selected top 10 of minnow nations who also won't be going to Brazil next year, with their FIFA rankings.

TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS (207th): First team to be knocked out of the World Cup when they crashed to a 10-0 defeat to the Bahamas in July last year.

DJIBOUTI (204th): African nation has won only one single competitive game in their history - against war-torn Somalia. Lost 8-0 to Namibia.

COOK ISLANDS (202nd): A population of just 24,000 makes it particularly difficult for the Pacific nation. Annihilated by American Samoa.

SEYCHELLES (198th): Paradise Indian Ocean team but abysmal at football. A 7-0 aggregate defeat to Kenya ended their Brazil dreams.

MACAU (194th): Former Portuguese colony off Hong Kong. Vietnam thrashed them 13-1 on aggregate in this campaign.

BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS (194th): A 21-year-old Andre Villas-Boas was once their manager. Lost World Cup derby to US Virgin Islands to go out.

PAPUA NEW GUINEA (192nd): Only recently returned after not playing a game for four years. Defeats to Fiji and Solomon Islands proved they needn't have bothered.

CAMBODIA (185th): Didn't see the point in entering 2006 World Cup as regarded themselves as too weak. …
