Pride of Wales! Another Excellent Year for Cardiff Sixth Form College; Independentschools

With a reputation for outstanding educational achievements, excellent facilities and enriching extra-curricular activities, Cardiff Sixth Form College (CSFC) focuses on individual care, and inspires students to make the most of their unique talents. CSFC is ranked one of the top A-level providers in the UK.

The college's 2012 results were truly exceptional with 99.5% A*-B grades achieved. Within that was an amazing 94.7% A*-A grades. In 2011 CSFC was placed first in the UK league table by Best School and Best A-level Results by The Spectator magazine, a sister publication of The Daily Telegraph. In February 2012 the college won two Crystal awards from The Education Advisers, the first for Top UK Co-Educational Boarding School and the second for Top Independent Sixth Form College, and topped the Spectator league tables in both these categories. In 2013 CSFC was placed No 1 in the Top Senior Independent School league table, Top Co-Educational Boarding School and Top Sixth Form College by Best School. This was in addition to the other two league tables mentioned above. In 2012 it received an excellent report from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI); "Outstanding" in teaching, learning and welfare. CSFC is also a registered charity and offers full scholarships to top achievers from state schools.

Students are able to benefit from experienced teachers, many of whom have examining/chief examining experience. In 2011 one of the teachers won the prestigious Pearson's Science Tutor of the Year award. Since 2007, CSFC has enjoyed exceptional success in placing its students on highdemand courses of their choice such as medicine, dentistry and veterinary science.

Successful applications have been submitted to the most prestigious universities in the UK, including Oxford and Cambridge. Students are provided with expert guidance through each stage of the UCAS process.

What makes CSFC unique? The college hosts a range of in-house extra-curricular activities which foster teamwork and discipline, including sports, music, debate and the arts. Skills acquired in college carry over in work placements at home and on the Goodwill Ambassador Programme in Malaysia and Bahrain. International trips (CERN) competitions e.g. science Olympiads and Space Settlement Design competition at Johnson Space Center, NASA (ISSDC) allow students to push themselves academically while adding a global dimension to their work experience portfolios. We have been crowned world champions for three consecutive years since 2011.

CSFC has earned a reputation for academic excellence with record A-level grades; topping the results league tables. It offers students the benefits of unique teaching methods, small class sizes and a personalised approach to study.
