IN THE COURTS; Drugs Offender Told to Attend Rehabilitation Sessions

A Coventry man has been put on probation for two years for drug offences.

Malcolm Paul Armstrong, aged 22, of Harewood Road, Whoberley, was charged with possessing and supplying cannabis and possessing amphetamine.

He was ordered to attend the intensive alcohol programme and an order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.

Other cases dealt with by city magistrates last Tuesday include:

Victoria Lindo, aged 22, of Craners Road, Hillfields, Coventry, driving with an incorrect licence and failing to produce a licence, fined Pounds 50.

Stephen John Williams, aged 30, of Topps Drive, Bedworth, driving with an incorrect licence and failing to produce a licence, fined Pounds 70.

Wade John Woodfield, aged 49, of Vincent Wyles House, Attoxhall Road, Wyken, Coventry, using a vehicle without insurance, fined Pounds 65.

Vivien Anne Leeming, aged 35, of Eagle Street, Foleshill, Coventry, possession of cannabis, conditional discharge for one year.

Mark Major, aged 31, of Nicholls Street, Hillfields, Coventry, failing to surrender to custody, fined Pounds 25.

Diljit Binning, aged 31, of Albany Road, Earlsdon, Coventry, two charges of obtaining property by deception to the total value of Pounds 67.32, attempting to obtain property by deception and receiving stolen goods, probation order for one year.

Aurora Gronan, aged 21, of Northey Road, Foleshill, Coventry, theft to the value of Pounds 81.60, conditional discharge for one year.

Tina Helen Prentice, aged 31, of Hillmorton Road, Wood End, Coventry, theft to the value of Pounds 13.13, fined Pounds 25.

Christopher Alan Burnham, aged 33, of Mapleton Road, Coundon, Coventry, assaulting a police constable, fined Pounds 150 and ordered to pay compensation of Pounds 50.

Daniel Roche, aged 21, of Wyken Avenue, Wyken, Coventry, driving without due care and attention, fined Pounds 250.

Darren James Ainsbury, aged 20, of Tile Hill Lane, Tile Hill, Coventry, two charges of using a vehicle without insurance, driving with an incorrect licence and using a vehicle without a test certificate, fined Pounds 100 and banned from driving for one year under the totting up provisions.

Steven Mark Blaney, aged 26, of Lapworth Road, Wood End, Coventry, driving with an incorrect licence, using a vehicle without insurance and using a vehicle without a test certificate, fined Pounds 250. …
