Seekers of SKILLS; A New Recruitment Consultancy Is Going All out to Let Clients and Employees Know What They're Offering

Article excerpt

There's a new kid on the block in Motherwell, in the form of commercial services recruitment agency Staffplus.

But they are by no means newcomers to the recruitment game.

They have been active in electronics recruitment consultancy as part of the Murray International Group, until a management buyout in October last year encouraged further diversification.

The commercial services team will concentrate on supplying commercial, clerical and call centre staff for temporary and permanent contracts, and consultancy manager Nikki Eyles says their remit is as wide and long as Scotland itself.

In order to introduce themselves to both existing electronics clients and a range of other employers, Staffplus are hosting an open day for potential clients on Friday, from 1-4pm.

Recruitment managers are invited to come along to hear what Staffplus have to offer.

The company have been busy recruiting and testing a bank of local office workers available for temporary and permanent contracts, but are also keen to hear from new candidates.

A separate candidate open day will be held on Monday July 20 from 9am until 6pm when Staffplus want to hear from a wide range of people - administrators, book-keepers, customer service operators and data entry clerks.

Secretarial staff are also in demand locally, from office juniors to experienced PAs. And local call centre employers ensure there are jobs available for a telephone staff.

Nikki says candidates should expect a get-to-know-you session. But she promises that anyone who comes along can receive advice on issues from how to improve their CVs to how to succeed in behavioural interviews.

Staffplus will also provide information and advice on various testing techniques, from basic aptitude and psychometric tests to tests of typing speeds and manual dexterity. …
