If tough and buxom virtual adventuress Lara Croft can't bring you lasting happiness, how about someone completely different - like middle-aged game show host Chris Tarrant?

Computer games maker Eidos said yesterday it had signed a deal to turn the television hit he hosts, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, into a computer game.

Eidos said it would be available for the PC, PlayStation and Dreamcast formats in the autumn under a deal with Celador Productions, which owns the game's rights.

'It will feature audio and video clips of the TV show's host Chris Tarrant, who will be asking the questions and giving the answers, and, of course, uttering the famous line, 'Is that your final answer?',' Eidos said.

The computer game is being developed by Hothouse Creations of Bristol. Eidos has the rights only for Britain.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? was first screened in Britain in 1998 and audience figures have reached more than 19 million. …
