Clowes Surveys Residents in Mt. Prospect

George Clowes is trying something a little bit different in the race to the Mount Prospect village president's seat.

Along with the typical campaign literature about Clowes is a two-page survey to get the opinions of residents on village events and services.

Clowes, 55, a current village trustee, is running against resident Ernest Lasse and incumbent Village President Gerald L. "Skip" Farley, who is a write-in candidate, in Tuesday's election.

The survey contains questions about communication, civic events, village services, current issues, and taxes and spending.

Clowes said he and campaign workers have distributed the fliers to the central part of the village, and are now working on getting it out to residents in the rest of Mount Prospect.

"I've gotten about 40 or 50 back already," Clowes said Thursday. "I was surprised to get so many back so quickly."
