Known for churning out national merit scholars and above average ACT scores, Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 also wants people to know about its adult massage and tap dancing classes.

The district will host its first ever Adult Education Expo from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Conant High School in Hoffman Estates.

The event is free and open to the public. Organizers hope it spreads the word about their eclectic array of night classes for adults.

The exposition will feature about 35 booths where teachers will demonstrate the skills they teach.

Presenters will include students from the district's tap dancing class and a professional masseuse who will offer pointers on stress relieving back rubs.

Other booths will feature presentations from the district's Polish language, woodworking, stained glass, marshal arts, exercise, real estate and personal finance courses.

The district is conducting the exposition to raise awareness of the program and drum up some business. …
