SHE has made a miraculous recovery after a horrific hit-and-run accident in Spain.

Phoebe Lyle can recite nursery rhymes through a ventilator after the horror smash which left her paralysed.

But the brave three-year-old has still a fight on her hands - beating off the cold.

Doctors have told her loving parents, Robert and Jane, from Bangor, Co Down, that their daughter could die if she comes down with the common cold.

A family friend has revealed that despite beating the odds and coming out of a coma, Phoebe's immune system has taking a terrible battering since her brush with death.

"The doctors have told Robert and Jane that because Phoebe's weak immune system the slightest cold has the potential to kill her.

"This is going to be a constant worry for them.. She had a slight cold some weeks back and it took a lot of medication and attention from the doctors and nursing staff to help beat it off.

"But the big worry for Robert and Jane will be when she finally gets out of hospital. …
