SG Hires Brutsche to Fixed Income Distribution Team

Philip Brutsche has joined the German and eastern European fixed income distribution team at SG, the corporate and investment banking division of the Societe Generale banking group.Brutsche, 31, joins from Bankgesellschaft Berlin, where he was a marketer of swaps and interest rate derivatives for the past three years. At SG, he will focus on the distribution of flow fixed income products to financial institutions in Germany and Austria.

In his new role, Brutsche will be based in London, reporting to Marcus Ribka, head of German and eastern European fixed income sales. The European fixed income and derivatives sales team is run by Frederic Desclaux.

Desclaux said: "We started expanding the fixed income and derivatives team a year and a half ago, and the results have been on target, so we will maintain the same strategy. Germany and Italy remain key areas of business and we are keen to continue strengthening the sales side."

He added: "We will announce further hires later in the year as we still have some gaps to fill in the team. …
