HYPED-UP Rangers stars will be warned to cool it by manager Alex McLeish.

He will talk tough to his big-money men as the tightest title tussle for years resumes in midweek.

Rangers, three points clear of champions Celtic, take on Hibs at Easter Road, on Wednesday - the same time Celtic clash with Dundee United, at Parkhead.

But McLeish feels the tension could get to his team and a flurry of red and yellow cards could de-rail their title ambitions.

In the clashes just before the mid-winter break, the Ibrox team always looked as though they were on a short fuse.

Now McLeish says: "We are hoping to keep our disciplinary record clean and that is something I will be talking to the guys about.

"I do tend to mention discipline to the players before most games, but I will be talking about it before the league starts up again.

"I will mention to them that one thing which is very important to us is that they all keep their discipline.

"There is a very fine line between commitment and going over the top, but that is where referees and their assistants come into it," says McLeish. …
