Exchange Programme at Amity Int'l

New Delhi, April 7 -- A delegation from Rungsted Gymnasium, Denmark, comprising of 5 teachers and 46 students visited Amity International School, Noida recently. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chairperson Dr. Amita Chauhan and the guest dele gation. The delegation was introduced by Jyoti Arora, Head - Amity Educational Resource Centre followed by a special welcome by the Principal Amity Noida, Renu Singh. The event proceeded with a presentation by Danish students showcasing the special features of Denmark ranging from the geographical, cultural to educational aspects . An interactive workshop for the teachers was conducted by Inger Merete Sarborg, Head of Global Education and Janis Dyrby Nie lsen, Senior Lecturer on-'Danish Didactics'. The Chairperson appreciated the efforts made by the team and reiterated that this a progressive step which will help the students of different countries understand, adopt, develop and critical thinking skills . Six students of St. Mark's Senior Secondary Public School, Meera Bagh- Palak Arora, Palak Hajela, Hanupriya Nangia, Abhishek Gupta, Pranav Verma and G. Vignesh participated in the Anatolia College Science and Technology Annual Conference held at Thessaloniki, Greece recently. Working as a group of three,the students presented their thesis on topics - 'Society in Culture' and 'Transforming Society and Environment'. Both the thesis were well received by the audience.

The students who wrote the thesis - 'Science in Culture' were awarded for Highest inter -disciplinary paper in Physics. Apart from attending the conference, the students also visited several places of interest . Arwachin Inter national School, Dilshad Garden celebrated its annual day on the theme 'Let's Build a Better World with Hope' . …
