The Languages of the Kimberley, Western Australia


The region around Kimberley in Western Australia contains 55 Aboriginal languages, but very few of these are being passed on to children. The main languages of communication are Kriol, a development of Pidgin English, & a dialect known as Aboriginal English. McGregor surveys the linguistic diversity of the area.
