Bound to Cooperate: Conflict, Peace, and People in Sierra Leone

Africa's economic and social development has been held back by armed conflicts that have inflicted death, injury, hunger and homelessness. This book recognizes that in order to achieve economic development in an environment of peace and security, ordinary men and women from West Africa must be closely included in the process. This publication gives a voice to the civil society of Sierra Leone and lets it tell what it thinks is the best way to tackle the scourge of small arms proliferation. [UN website]
