Great World Writers: Twentieth Century - Vol. 9

The 13 volumes of Great World Writers: Twentieth Century offer students and other interested readers an introduction to a wide variety of significant authors, both living and deceased, whose writings exemplify the extraordinary riches of literary cultures flourishing outside the United States in the last century. This set, a companion publication to Great American Writers: Twentieth Century, which was published in 2002, takes as its starting point the fact that the curricula of North American schools encourage students to sample the work of distinguished writers from all over the globe. Great World Writers exists to enable school and community libraries to offer their patrons a comprehensive resource that will expand that sample into a feast.
