Back Pain: How to Build Core Stability for Long-Lasting Relief

Excerpt

Today the importance of the spine in health and disease is widely appreciated. Looking after your spine is an important strategy in avoiding back pain and in gaining health and wellbeing. Chiropractors and other health professionals have developed skills and expertise in helping people with spinal problems. In an ideal world health professionals should be coaches, helping their patients get the best performance out of their bodies, rather than therapists patching people together again.

Healthcare costs are escalating and the best defense against this situation is when people take responsibility for their own wellbeing. Following sound advice and having a periodic check up is far better than waiting until things to start to fall apart. Self-help strategies will not always replace the care offered by a clinical expert but they should minimise the need for care and can speed up recovery.
