I first met Dr. Abdul Basit when he was editor in chief of the Journal of Muslim Mental Health and I sent him my books for review, Terror in the Holy Land: Inside the Anguish of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and Beyond Bullets and Bombs: Grassroots Peace Building between Israelis and Palestinians.
