Prague Sprung: Notes and Voices from the New World

Synopsis

Leviatin provides a detailed picture, through the use of oral histories, of the ways in which an institution and a community have been affected by war, occupation, ideology, and revolution. Leviatin shows how several generations of students and teachers at Charles University, the oldest university in Eastern Europe, lived the transformation of Czechoslovakian life.
