Ulysses Kay: A Bio-Bibliography

One of the most prominent American composers living today, Kay has produced more than 135 compositions, representing a tremendous outpouring of divergent forms from opera to compositions for film and television. This highly acclaimed composer is probably the most published and most frequently commissioned African-American composer: As Oliver Daniel has so descriptively stated, Kay has been heard from "Kiev to Kennebunkport." This volume includes his biography, a chronological listing of his works and a complete discography to date, with selected performance notes, and an annotated bibliography, all of which will be of interest to students of music as well as the general reading audience.
