At the request of the faculty of the University of Nebraska Senator George W. Norris delivered a lecture under the auspices of the institution at a public gathering.

The distinguished Nebraskan presented in his lecture a broad outline of the underlying principles which, in his judgment, should determine the peace to be drawn at the close of the present conflict.

Senator Norris wisely made no effort to discuss the individual complicated problems of territorial determination, national boundaries to be established, precise formulas for the punishment of those against whom war guilt may be established, or the precise steps to be undertaken in the rehabilitation of governments and peoples within long occupied countries.
