PROLOGUE : An invasion barge. Somewhere on the Mediterranean.
ACT I
In front of an officer's tent near Maknassy. Several months later.
Acr II
Scene 1 . The tent. Now close to the forward lines near Mazzouna. A week later.
Scene 2 . The dry bed of a stream in the mountains above Mazzouna. Late afternoon.
Scene 3 . Same as Scene 1. Evening of the same day.
EPILOGUE : The invasion barge. It might be tomorrow.
