Some people may find it odd that I should have written to you so often. A University professor is generally supposed to have more high-powered things to do in the way of lectures, seminars, research, etc. As it happens, I kept up with all that quite happily, including the writing of a large tome with a load of footnotes: tough theological fare, not for you. But this is your book. These are private letters, written not for theologians but for you.
