The Wisconsin Alpha Chapter of Phi Sigma Tau, the National Honor Society for Philosophy at Marquette University, each year invites a scholar to deliver a lecture in honor of St. Thomas Aquinas. This year is the 700th anniversary of St. Thomas' death, March 7, 1274. The lecture commemorating this anniversary was delivered on Sunday, March 10.

The 1974 Aquinas Lecture Man as Infinite Spirit was delivered in Todd Wehr Chemistry by Professor James H. Robb, professor of philosophy, Marquette University.

Professor Robb was born on April 25, 1918 at Bena, Minnesota. He earned the B.S. degree at St. Cloud State Teachers in 1940, the A.B. at Marquette University in 1948, the M.A. at Toronto University in 1950, the L.M.S. at the Pontifical Institute of Medieval Studies (Toronto) in 1952, and the Ph.D. at the University of Toronto in 1953.
