Synopsis

This is the first volume of a major two-volume Encyclopedia of EEC law that will be published in 1990 and 1990 by Oxford. Dealing specifically with the institutional aspects of EEC law, this volume contains 300 concise entries that explain particular concepts or points of law. Fully documented with appropriate case and treaty references, the entries range from "Action for Damages" to "Special Forms of Procedure" and from "Contractual Liability" to "Withdrawal from the Communities." There is also full treatment of the courts, including the new Court of First Instance, and the Commission, Council, and Directorate General.
