Lone-Parent Families: The Economic Challenge

Excerpt

The lone-parent family is one of the groups in society most likely to be economically vulnerable, and across the OECD area there is an ongoing debate as to the most appropriate public response to the needs of these families.

In December 1987 the OECD held a conference of social policy experts which looked at the growth in lone-parent families, the problems which have emerged and their policy implications. This volume, which is based on the papers presented at the conference, was edited by Elizabeth Duskin in the Social Affairs Division of OECD's Directorate for Social Affairs, Manpower and Education. It is published on the responsibility of the SecretaryGeneral.https://library.wrpg.corp.web/Book
