Questia, your online research library and paper writing resource, contains thousands of scholarly articles and books about Human Communication.

Intentional act or message by humans intended to cause or effect through the use of words, sound, body, visual or motion is considered human communication. This cause and effect, or in this case, message and response, are delivered subsequently without fail. This study of human interaction improves social mobility explaining human relationship or understanding, modified to communicate a message that will elicit the response we desire. Human need for response has generated an array of channels or methods that can be used universally despite language, cultural or physical barriers. Hand gestures, body language, touch or sounds are all techniques used to communicate or add intensity to a message that words alone cannot.
