The study was carried out in Terkaka village, 60 miles North-West Juba city, Southern Sudan about mixed farming. Mixed farming is the cultivation of different types and varieties of annual and perennial crops combined with rearing or raising of different suitable kinds of livestock which gives the best beneficial mutual yield. In development terms it means to develop farms, household systems and rural community on a sustainable basis.

The study aims at identifying the type of mixed fanning used in Terkaka, the extent of its practice and it's role in agricultural development

The primary data was collected through the questionnaire that has been distributed to 50 farmers from Terkaka. The questionnaire consists of 50 closed questions covering three main issues, which are the characteristics of the repondants, agricultural and mixed faring activities and the problems faced by those farmers regarding their mode of production. …
