IADC Explores Tomorrow's Issues. (President's Page)

Article excerpt

THE LEGAL landscape is undergoing significant change, particularly in civil litigation, and we, as IADC members, are in the forefront of those changes. The recent special issue (January 2003) of Defense Counsel Journal and the excellent continuing legal education programs conducted during the 2003 Mid-year Meeting focused on facing the complex challenges in the privacy arena, proving once again that the IADC is at the cutting edge of our profession.

This month, the IADC is once again sponsoring the Corporate Counsel College, focusing on the dramatic changes the corporate world has seen since the enactment of the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation. Our members have been deeply involved in dealing with the impacts of that legislation and are providing critical insights to corporate counsel, the defense bar and the public on what it means and why it's important. If you have not attended the Corporate Counsel College, you are missing a golden opportunity to gain valuable tips and strategies on corporate issues that are more important than ever.

2003 Annual Meeting
