With many projects underway at the Institute, it is difficult to choose those to highlight in each publication. For ongoing updates on the Institute and the field in general, we hope our readers will continue to check out our website which has been extensively revamped and expanded (www.law.ualberta.ca/centres/hli).

One new item you will see referenced there currently is a major paper recently completed by Timothy Caulfield and Nola Ries entitled "Consent, Privacy and Confidentiality in Longitudinal, Population Health Research: The Canadian Legal Context" which was commissioned by the Canadian Lifelong Health Initiative Ethical Legal Social Issues (CLHI-ELSI) Advisory Committee. It will be published as a special supplement to the Health Law Journal this summer and will be widely distributed throughout Canada and internationally. Subscribers to the Health Law Journal can look forward to receiving a copy as part of their subscription.

We wish to extend our congratulations to Tania Bubela, a long-time researcher with the HLI, on her new appointment with the Faculty of Business at the University of Alberta. …
