There have been some vital new releases published recently from ASP. These include Counting, Health and Identity: A History of Aboriginal Health and Demography in Western Australia and Queensland 1900-1940 by Dr Gordon Briscoe, and Addictions and Healing in Aboriginal Country by Mr Gregory Phillips. These books provide both historical and contemporary approaches to health in the Indigenous context and have been launched at various locations across Australia, including the Sydney Writers' Festival in May. We will be seeing more books released in the near future, including Something Special, about health services in the Katherine region, and Paddy's Road, a biography of Patrick Dodson.
