The contemporary argument concerning the display of violence, sex and other x-rated material on the TV screen represents a one-sided approach to this issue. TV shows and movies can, of course, be moderately controlled. However the question arises: Can control of this sort improve the social condition? It is amazing that political leaders can lower themselves to such naive assumptions. No change of theory has ever changed a problem of this sort. Lenin tried in Russia and failed. The founder of Evolutionary Psychology, Theodore Schroeder states: "A better social order comes, not by a change of social theory, but by maturing of the impulses behind our theories. Our problems are not matters of pure intellect, but of immature urges and conflicting emotions."

As concerns our children being exposed to violence, sexual and pornographic transgressions on the TV screen and in movies, we had better look into the contemporary trend in family life itself, where over 50% of all marriages end in divorce, where lots of flesh is exposed, where four-letter words dominate the daily conversations, and where sexual diseases are rampant. …
