Preserving and Identifying Family Photographs Instructors: OHS Research Library Staff Tuesday, November 14, 2006, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Discover how to save your family and personal photographs for generations to come! The first part of the workshop will teach you easy tips on how to preserve photographs of all types, including cased photos, prints, slides, negatives, and even digital photographs. The second half of the workshop will teach you how to identify and date photographs from the 1840s to the present by working hands-on with samples from the Oregon Historical Society's photograph collections. Workshop participants should also bring in one or two examples of "unidentified" photographs from their own collections. …
