This issue of the New Zealand Journal of Psychology is the last one produced during my term of office as Editor, which commenced in 2001. It has been a great privilege to have engaged in this role over the past six years, and I have gained considerable satisfaction and stimulation working in this capacity for the New Zealand Psychological Society. I believe the Journal is in good shape, and the quality of submissions and published papers over the past years has been extremely high.

Many people have contributed substantially to the status of the Journal, and have worked hard for its success. I would especially like to thank those who have assisted me, as Associate Editors since 2001--Bob Knight (Otago University), Dave Thomas (Auckland University), Neville Blampied (Canterbury University), Jenni Ogden (Auckland University), and Janet Leathem (Massey University, Wellington). Their contributions to handling reviews of manuscripts, policy development and general decision-making have been considerable and very much appreciated.

I would also like to give special recognition to Linden Williams, who has managed the production of Journal issues throughout my term as editor. Linden has worked tirelessly and efficiently for both the Society and the Journal; without her, the Journal would not have been produced each time. Since we increased the number of issues per year from two to three in 2004, she has needed to devote even more energy to the Journal. Again, I am very appreciative of all the support which Linden has given me as editor, and for her very significant input into the Journal. …
