Features: Quantity selector: Makes 1-999 copies. Quantity display: Three-digit LCD display counts down as copies are produced and reverts to the quantity selected. Quantity reset: Forty-five seconds after the last copy is made, the quantity select display resets to "1" and all selected features reset to the default setting (the reset time can be adjusted from 0 to 150 seconds by service). Document feeder: Standard Reversing Automatic Document Feeder (RADF). Stack-feed bypass: Built-in stack-feed bypass holds up to 50 sheets ranging in weight from 17 to 22 lbs. Duplexing: Standard duplex unit will automatically duplex up to 50 8-1/2" x 11" to 11" x 17" sheets. Automatic selection features: Automatic exposure control. Automatic paper selection and reduction/enlargement selection. Automatic original recognition. Auto tray switching. Auto job start mode (allows user to program a copy job to automatically begin copying after the warm-up cycle is complete). The main control panel has the copy quantity display,quantity selection numeric keypad, "Print," "Function Clear" and "Clear/Stop" keys. "Interrupt" key with job memory (when in the interrupt mode, single copies only can be made from the platen glass; selection is indicated by a lit LED). "Energy-Saver" mode (copier takes approximately 30 seconds to reach operating temperature; can be set by service to automatically enter energy-save mode after five minutes; selection is indicated by a lit LED). A "Timer" key is used to bypass the daily automatic power on/off program and to check the weekly timer on/off settings (selection is indicated by a lit LED). An "Image Mode" key is used when making copies of photographs or to select the "toner saver" mode (selection is indicated by a lit LED). Exposure controls: "Auto" exposure key (selection is indicated by a lit LED). In manual mode, the exposure is controlled by "Light" and "Dark" keys over a range of 11 settings. Message Display: A four-line, 64-character LCD message display shows various messages that report the status of copier conditions, date and time, paper size and paper level indicator and "Help" sub-menus and prompts. A "Help" key is used to activate the help function, and prompts on the LCD message display guide the user, step by step, through the selected mode of operation. "Yes" and "No" keys are used in response to operator prompts. Reduction/enlargement: "50%<" and ">200%" keys are used to select a variable reduction/enlargement ratio from 50% to 200% in 1% increments. Preset reduction modes of 50%, 54%, 60%, 65%, 78%, 82% and 84%, and preset enlargement modes of 108%, 119%, 121%, 129% 154%, 165% and 200% (the ratio selected is shown on a three-digit LCD "Reproduction Ratio" display). A "100%" key is used to select size-for-size copying. When the user depresses one of the "Original" keys ("Ledger," "Legal," "Letter," "Statement," "Computer"; selection is indicated by a lit LED), the unit automatically selects the most appropriate preset reduction/enlargement ratio. When the user depresses one of the "Copy Size" keys ("Ledger," "Legal," "Letter," "Statement," "Computer"; selection is indicated by a lit LED), that paper source and the most appropriate reduction/enlargement ratio are automatically selected. …
