Ronald P. Colbert, Vice President Representing Intermediate/Middle Childhood (2007-2010)

Ronald P. Colbert, Professor of Education, Fitchburg State College, Fitchburg, MA, has been elected Vice President Representing Intermediate/Middle Childhood. A member since 1988, Colbert has served ACEI in a variety of capacities with the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). He has been an ACEI/NCATE Program Reviewer and served as the NCATE/ACEI Training Officer for many years. In 1999, the ACEI Executive Board appointed Colbert to the NCATE Board of Examiners. He is currently the ACEI/NCATE Program Review Coordinator for Elementary Education and is a member of the ACEI Elementary Standards Revision Committee. Colbert has conducted ACEI/NCATE orientation workshops and reviewer-training programs at ACEI Annual Conferences. In speaking of his goals for ACEI, Colbert states, "I hope to have a successful term of office working to influence the professional growth of teacher educators and others committed to the needs of children and adolescents in our schools. I hope to bring continued distinction to Fitchburg State College by my leadership role in ACEI."
