It has been an immense privilege to serve as Editor of the Journal for the past four years. This role afforded me the chance to review exciting research initiatives, innovative methodologies, and interesting conceptual perspectives on the supply chain management discipline. Scholars from around the world allowed me the special opportunity to be the first to examine and scrutinize their research contributions to the supply chain management field. This has been truly exciting.

As the Journal evolves up the quality ladder, it is poised to make even stronger contributions to supply thought and practice. All of us owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to former editors Harold Fearon, Donald Dobler, and Phillip Carter for molding the Journal into a leading contributor to our discipline.

As the Journal welcomes the next generation of respected scholars--Lisa Ellram, Craig Carter, and Lutz Kaufmann--to leadership roles, its future is brighter than ever. This experienced leadership team will propel the Journal to unparalleled heights.
