Greetings from the International/Intercultural Committee!

The International/Intercultural committee has been very busy with two main projects: the 2008 World Conference in Russia and plans to increase the number of international members.

The World Conference, scheduled for June 1821, 2008, in Moscow, Russia, is shaping up to be an excellent event. Presenters have been accepted and notified. Workshops are being scheduled, and keynote speakers are being confirmed. Early registrations are hovering around 100 people. A very special thanks is owed to the 2008 World Conference Committee Co-chairs, Tunde Szecsi and Manana Salakaja, for the wonderful job they are doing. We are especially grateful to Manana and her staff in Moscow for all the legwork they are doing in preparation for the conference. Excursions are being planned so we all can experience Russia, as well as workshops and presentations. Additionally, Gillian Potter has pulled together a "Spouses' Committee" to explore some sightseeing options for the traveling companions of conference attendees. We are all working hard to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone who makes the trip. The second task the I/I Committee has undertaken, in conjunction with the Membership Committee, is to develop some strategies to increase membership from outside the United States. …
