Where will your colleagues be in just four short months? In Charlotte, participating in Green Technology: STEM Solutions for 21st Century Citizens. This important topic is the conference theme for the ITEA 2010 Conference, and for three to four days you'll be immersed with others who want to remain at the top of the teaching profession as you focus on Professional Development, Vendor Interaction, and Networking and have the opportunity to take part in an array of specialized technical labs and workshops.

There will be plenty of activities to choose from--including general sessions to attend--and plenty of time to give you the opportunity to network with your colleagues and share ideas in over 100 professional development learning sessions. In addition, there are five specialized preconference workshops offered on Wednesday as well as the traditional International Luncheon and ITEA Awards Luncheon later in the week. Returning in Charlotte by popular demand are the Engineering byDesign[TM] series of learning labs offered for elementary, middle, and high school teachers. Educational tours of local Charlotte facilities (to include the NASCAR technical institute, green retrofitted homes, and a solar manufacturer) are in the planning stages. PATT will return, offering three days of its own learning sessions, open to all registrants. Vendor interaction will be open on Thursday and Friday, as you have the opportunity to meet top corporate leaders at the ITEA Tradeshow and also hear about the latest offerings during the special Action Labs, presented by cutting-edge companies.

Complete conference information is available at www. iteaconnect.org/conference, and housing is open and can be accessed through this website. The conference is scheduled for perfect early-spring weather, and housing at the ITEA hotels (coheadquarters Hilton and Westin as well as the Omni and Holiday Inn) offer terrific conference rates. The Hilton will be the host hotel for sessions for CS, TECA, and CTTE, while the sessions for TECC and all EbD[TM] workshops will be held at the Westin. …
