Dear Readers of JSLP-ABA:

We present this Special Compiled Volume 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, and 4-4 as a collection of "Best of JSLP-ABA" between 2006 and 2008. It was difficult to select "the best" because every article published in JSLP-ABA meets the high standards set forth by BAO for JSLP-ABA and its other journals. However, some articles stood out among the rest based on the impact of the topics they addressed together with the depth of coverage and the clarity of style. In the spirit of JSLP-ABA, we also deliberately selected articles written by authors from both the SLP community as well as the ABA community in order to emphasize our continued dedication to the importance of collaboration. We congratulate the authors on being selected for this issue and we hope that our readers will appreciate the collection of articles presented.

We also wish to inform you that 2009 was an unusual year at BAO and JSLP-ABA due to the sudden, unexpected, and untimely death of Dr. Craig Thomas, the copy editor and webmaster for BAO journals. Dr. Thomas was a dedicated behavior analyst with a passion for supporting the needs of individuals with autism. His work improved the lives of many families, and his work ethic had a great impact on his peers. …
