The Branch now has 88 individual members and 46 institutions, which gives a total of 134.

This is an increase from last year with 11 new members.

To promote our organization, especially aiming at public libraries, we have ordered T-shirts, cups, and pens etcetera with a new catchy logotype.

During the autumn we arranged three activities:

The first took place in the Royal Opera House in Stockholm. It was actually a "second round" giving the members who were not able to attend last year another chance.

Our members had for a long time requested further training in cataloguing. We decided to arrange two courses: One for not so experienced music librarians and another for advanced cataloguers. Both of the courses were greatly appreciated. It was especially gratifying that the course for beginners was so well attended.

In February I had, for the first time, the pleasure of attending the annual meeting of the Music Library Association in Chicago. It was very educational and I reported diligently on our blog.

The annual meeting of the Swedish IAML Branch took place in the Music Library of Sweden in Stockholm. According to tradition we had some lectures in the afternoon. This year we focused on the centennial of "The Traditional Music Commission", which was appointed by collectors and researchers in folk culture. …
