Dear SCUP colleagues,

I am writing to you in my capacity as incoming executive editor of Planning for Higher Education (PHE), SCUP's official journal. I want to take a moment to encourage you to seriously consider contributing to PHE, either as an author or book reviewer. As I begin my tenure as your executive editor, I want all of you with an interest in sharing your knowledge and expertise to feel that your professional journal is accessible. I remember early in my professional career feeling uncertain about how to commit my ideas to paper, how to submit a manuscript, and just a general sense of uncertainty as to how to get started with a higher education journal. George Keller, who was then executive editor of PHE, personally guided me through the process and became a valued mentor over the years. Because of his interest in my writing capabilities, I have had the good fortune to have six articles published in PHE, as well as a SCUP-commissioned monograph.

I have learned so much from my Keller mentorship, and I want you to know that I am committed to working with any and all potential authors with a genuine interest in contributing to PHE. …
