Ronald P. Taylor is director of IP analysis with intellectual Assets, Inc., a California-based professional advisory services firm specializing in integrated business, R&D, and IP processes. He is also president of Intellectual Strategies, Inc., a professional consulting firm providing expert witness testimony to the chemicals and polymers industries on issues related to business practices, patent infringement, and product liability. Prior to joining Intellectual Assets, he worked for 32 years in the chemicals and polymers industry, 28 years of which was with Bayer Material Science, LLC. His most recent positions were as director in Bayer's research, applications development, project portfolio, and intellectual property management areas. He has a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a B.S. in chemistry from Carnegie-Mellon University. He holds nine U.S. patents and has published over 20 technical articles and publications.

Paul Germeraad is president of Intellectual Assets, Inc. He was previously chief operating officer for Aurigin Systems, Inc., a software start-up company, where he focused on the development of the company's intellectual asset management products for the competitive intelligence, licensing, and R&D communities. …
